I use digital art to delve into human consciousness and the way we make sense of the world. Recurring themes and repeated designs feature prominently under my introspective microscope. Emotions, reflections, words, and worries burst, swirl, and echo through and between my pieces.
I work in Procreate on an iPad, splashing color and texture on an expansive digital canvas, zooming in to work on complex patterns and minute details. Though I take advantage of layer manipulations and textured brushes in certain pieces, I spend tens of hours working on brushstrokes and placing lines by hand. My self taught technique has been honed over years of work, as I fold together countless gestures into spectrums of memory and movement, empathy and experience.
